In NY state it's apparently against the law for a business to refuse to serve/sell alcohol to pregnant women.

The fetal health part of my brain says this is totally fucked up. It happens often enough already with out a law stating that they must be served. The other part says if they are that stupid, why stop them. As a business owner have them read, understand and sign a waiver of liability, then file it with the state. If the birth results in fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, all of the liability for raising the child falls on the mother. However, the mother may abandon the child, for multiple reasons, leaving the life/liability to society.
I guess my choice is to have the law changed so that alcohol can't be knowingly served/sold to a pregnant woman. Or maybe serve on a limited basis. If they want to drink that bad they'll find a way to get it even if illegal or limited.
Thoughts?

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
