I had a mole removed from my back, years back.  They basically burned it off..... smelled like BBQ sausage, quite delicious.

The smell of my own burning flesh made me hungry.

Being "cooler" has nothing to do with whether something is real or not.
Unicorns and dragons would be waaaay near the top of my "that would be cool if they were real" list. That doesn't make them any more real. Either they exist or they don't, and our perception of how cool they are is irrelevant to that.
