Certified pessimist here.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Forever the optimist. If I wasn't, I'd have been dead long before this.

Goodbye then. Call me back when you haz poll. ![]() I am a rational optimist. Ever since my suicide attempt I made a stronger commitment to live than ever and it is perfectly rational to lean slightly on the rosy side because it helps me survive and cope. It's irrational to worry about what is beyond my control because I can't do anything about it and it's irrational to worry about anything I can control because I can do something about it. So, my life philosophy and outlook I rational optimism but I often fail at the rational aspect in other areas outside my optimism ![]() ![]() Most of the time my anxiety feels like nothing but epiphenomenal unpleasantness with foregone conclusions though ![]()
Extreme optimist. My missus goes so far as to say I have reverse paranoia - I suspect people of conspiring to make me happy.
