Well..I think there's a small difference there because nobody can be forced to say the Pledge of Allegiance, nor can they be forced to say any specific part of it.

WTF does shaking hands has anything to do with education? If it's a local formality, then it is still just a formality and not a requirement. Enforcing such silliness is absurd
