To circumcise or not to circumcise?

There was a study done in 2015 where uncircumcised men voluntarily were circumcised to test the difference when it comes to sex. The study basically said that there was little to no difference. Add on to that the fact that infections and disease are easier to catch when you're uncircumcised.....I don't know, I don't think it's this terrible barbaric practice everyone is describing.

I get why you'd oppose it, since the infant has no say. But being circumcised or not....it's really not a huge deal

Why should you have a vendetta against parents who likely made a decision out of ignorance based on what they thought was best for you?

Show me some scientific evidence that shows a causation (not a correlation) of infections or disease?
Have you ever had an orgasm with your foreskin intact? Can you link the study?
Are you sure your argument is not made out of ignorance? I read a study yesterday where 38 women said that there was no difference in sexual stimulation and 9 said that there was increased sexual pleasure and 0 said that there was decreased pleasure after having their labia and clitoral hood cut. Knowing this, would you also advocate for female circumcision or at least say it's not a big deal?

It's barbaric because it is chopping off part of a baby's genitals for no good reason. How could that ever not be barbaric?

There are huge differences between male and female circumcision. FMG affects the girl's ability to become pregnant later on in life, it is way more commonly botched, and way more tissue and nerve endings are removed. The rate of botched male circumcisions are relatively much lower.

"Evaluation of current evidence indicates that the health benefits of newborn male circumcision outweigh the risks; furthermore, the benefits of newborn male circumcision justify access to this procedure for families who choose it. Specific benefits from male circumcision were identified for the prevention of urinary tract infections, acquisition of HIV, transmission of some sexually transmitted infections, and penile cancer. Male circumcision does not appear to adversely affect penile sexual function/sensitivity or sexual satisfaction."

Female circumcision is not generally the horror stories you see in the news. It's just a trimming of the labia minora and the clitoral hood.

Why is it ok to mutilate a genitals if you're less likely to royally fuck it up?

The part I placed in bold is what most people forget.

After all, I am not informing them of how to raise their children.

I honestly hope everyone advocating circumcision without it being a medical nessecity dont have kids, or social services get involved. You're all supporting child abuse.

Makes me sick to my stomach.

Not really sure I know what you mean, but I'll try not to have too many opiniony opinions just in case. Tongue

To put it bluntly, people will from now on take your input as staff. It kinda limits what you can say, and diminshes (sp?) your freedom. You picked up the bag of salt, you must now carry it. I am not telling what to do, just what you should expect. Be prepared, that is all. You will do fine, just be prepared.

Just pointing out that the comparison isn't as simple as you put it. And you ignored my link.

Don't be ridiculous. I see staff expressing personal opinions on the forums all the time. That doesn't affect them as staff and they still do their jobs just fine.

What a sad thing to say, almost like a cliche. Go buy some ointment to masturbate, i can do without and my mom taught me to do clean myself. I apologize in advance if you lost your mom early. Yeah that would make me a douchebag. It wouldn't make you reasonable either.
