I think it's a very sensible decision Losty. You're incredibly brave for trying, but in the end your quality of life is what matters. And of course your ability to be there for those who need you.

It's not as if you're using the medication for kicks n' giggles; You have legitimate need for it. 

I understand what it's like to work to 2 or 3 jobs; I did it for some time after filing for divorce years ago. It was Hell, physically...and I wasn't suffering from fibromyalgia/chronic pain. Sounds to me like you're just doing what you've gotta do to keep it together, and stay in the game.
