I fear the first thing that Theresa May does after sorting out her cabinet will be to enact Article 50. There won't be any time for any legal challenge or motion of no confidence in the government. She can't appear weak on this issue. I suspect the Scottish government will go for an immediate referendum while there is still massive uncertainty over our future and we have the option of staying in the EU without ever leaving.

Well really what else was she going to say?
I am John Cena's hip-hop album.
Wow, we've finally got a chancellor of the exchequer that has some economics education. I think the last time we had that was back in the 80's.
Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary? I've seen better cabinets constructed entirely out of blancmange.

A bit like the Matrix sequels. But good luck negotiating with the EU. He's dearly loved there and certainly the best person for the job when it comes to getting the best deal. Playing to his natural charms might not hurt either. It makes him even more of a darling. And nobody can say he's a quitter, seeing how bravely he handled himself after the vote was in. Actually, it will most likely be David Davis and his department that will be doing most of the negotiating instead of Boris. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-36785814 Quote:Details about the new Brexit department are still emerging, but it is likely to take the lead in negotiating Britain's departure from the EU and unpicking the thousands of pages of EU rules written into UK law. |
