RE: Real Guns CAN Be Toys!!!

Guns -can't- be toys...not if we wish to continue availing ourselves of the privelege. That's all I have to say about that.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Don't matter, they're cousins too. My, ahem, clan dominates one county here in Missouri.

@Gawd, You too? LOL, I'm directly related to everyone of note within 20 miles of me...and I moved here in my thirties. We keep shit in house. Maybe it's time we asked for foreign intervention?
@Min, Why is so hard to prosecute murder in Kentucky? Poor dental records and everyone's related.

Our family reunion is a state sponsored thing and listed by the tourism bureau.....not even kidding (we even control the ferry)...they shut down the entire county, and why not...everyone is there anyway. As far as I can tell, generations are seperated by about 15 years. We have a quick turnaround, on average. It's only a matter of time until we run this bitch.
I contend that one of my daughters is heir apparent, and will one day be able to make boots march on call. We moved here after we lost -most- everything further south, not just because we got the place for a song...but because it's my family's maternal seat. Cuzzos /w the sherriff, suits me just fine, lol.

That's fine if you think that way, no problem here. However, I have a cousin who didn't want to get rained on while trying out his Christmas present, a new hunting rifle, so he opened the living room window and started firing at a bull's-eye painted on the side of his barn. His wife had to remind him that the cows were probably in there at the time, waiting to get milked.
I can't control stupid fucks... no one can. I do like to target shoot and shoot clays though. Always had guns, always kept them locked up in a safe. I believe in safety first.

Trouble is getting the rest of the heathens, no offense or affiliation, to tow that line.

I trained with a retired Marine, and it took me three months of hard work to earn the right to fire a gun. I also recall one time when we were lead into a room where there was a .45 and a holster. The instructor said, "They're all unloaded, holster them and belt up." Everybody who did so without checking themselves left that day for new assignments.
