The only thing I thank religion for is making me curious, it lead to improving my cognitive skills (not the religion itself), e.g analyzing, logic etc and in my journey to atheism I read a lot of science. My religion turned me away from religion and introduced me to more science. Also I got to mention my teacher in 5th grade told me to follow a science page that I really liked, it was helpful.

Then I met a religious nut, a teacher substitute that believed the anti christ was already long dead, and she mentioned some fucking aliens, I don't know what the hell she smoked but I was inspired.
