Blue-Ray

I am entirely against blueray.
assuredly it is the future of digital entertainment format. Unlike USB, the content is less vulnerable.
But, to pump it into the market was an unnecessary step for society, and thus I cannot support it.
The content on those videos are not substantially better, and thus are not vindicated.
Blueray games are also not better.
I am curious who else was disappointed in the production of blueray.
coupled with your unbiased opinions about it's qualities.

I am not surprised.
What do you support, though?

I can't support anything but USB now. I pay 15$ for 128g usb's that are smaller than the size of my pinkie.
but I was pro dvd, before the market was defeated. Now I can't because that would just be insubordinate.

Nonsense. What it is, is a format that's being promoted at the moment. In a few years we'll get a newer, faster medium with more capacity and in 25 years no one will remember what a BlueRay was. Just like in the 80s people thought Laser Disks were the future. What's a "Laser Disk"? Exactly...

no. in the 80's people thought the technology they had would produce better technology. What we are reaching is pinnacles in laser technology. in which, we would have to change our entire medium to improve it further. Therefor, blueray, is pretty damn well the end of the line. Unless you want to waste billions needlessly reaching out for something even more redundant than blueray efficiency.

Blu-Ray is probably the last iteration of physical media. Cloud storage is becoming ubiquitous, and most people use a streaming service or digital versions already. The DVD/Blu-Ray Aisle at the department stores shrinks ever smaller, just like the CD aisle.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I'm never relying on the Cloud. personal store and hardware is the best. the more people that go into the cloud the better. Long live the strong. I hope they all get herpes. @ sleepy poochie

Flash memory is a terrible way to store things, and should only be used for temporary storage. I'm talking memory card and the USB stick. Cloud storage is also terrible. The most secure way to store things may well be the old punch cards.
