If I lived in the same country as you other musos I'd be over for a jam.
I'd love to learn how to use all that equipment you two have been talking about.
The only word I recognised was MIDI. :-)
Ps, I've always loved the sound of a fretless bass ever since I first heard Babooshka as a kid.

My equipment is split between three countries. Most of it's in Germany, some of it's with me in Scotland and few other bits are still at my parent's place in England.

Hmm, just opened up my violin case after about a year of not playing it and loads of hair from the bow has broken off even though I thought I had released enough tension in it. That was quite a shock. I still haven't got over the learning curve of holding it or the bow, yet alone trying to always hit the right note each time. It was more of a challenge than I expected.

However, we'd have to sell the house and live in the bike. I might be able to talk the wife into it, but the cats wouldn't stand for it.

I bought a new pernambuco violin bow for myself last Christmas. I was so excited I felt like I was starting a new relationship. Smile

I badly want a pair of Bose noise-cancelling headphones to finally block out the shouty, obnoxious woman who sits next to me at work and manic-ly prattles on and on about her life every day. I listen to earbuds, which block out everything but this clown! I need heavier equipment but the Bose headphones are expensive.

Did it come with batteries?

If it did, I hate to break this to you, but it's NOT a bow...

Probably not. Potential for 1000 yards. That enough?

Yes, so I've recently discovered ever since I started experimenting. Add a 7 add a 9, and take a nice chord progression, and you have yourself some jazzy something. Great fun!

LOL! I'm never going to look at that bow the same Wink
It's always there when I need to play with it...in fact I'm about to go play it now.  Smile

Maybe I'll nickname the one with batteries "the bow".
