Quit acting like you were in the middle of a formal debate, instead of asking of fucking question.

What does a formal debate have to do with anything? You were using fallacious reasoning and I pointed it out.

You are becoming really emotional right now. Let's just chill for a second.

Nope, not "really emotional".
And you weren't presenting a logical argument; You just popped out of nowhere with a douchebag question.

I was making an observation.

You know, I know it, and anyone who scrolls up a few posts knows it.
Try again, Dorothy.

I get it. We're atheists. Religion is dumb.

I severely doubt it any theist is going to see this and go, jeez, I'm so stupid, how could I not see this? Fuck my religion, I'm done. Thanks OP, you're the smartest there is.

Fuck off EP. It's a public forum. I can post what I want, when I want. If you don't like it, ignore the thread. No need to be a condescending asshole about it.

I'm sorry if you took my criticism a little too personally. I never intended to come off as condescending. I was simply trying to provide my honest opinion on the nature of such discussions. This one started by you right here is one among many. I didn't maliciously pick yours to air my grievances on the subject, it just happened that I saw it and this is what went through my mind in response to it, so I subsequently posted my thoughts.

I feel like my observation had too much of a negative impact, so we should probably just forget about it for now, if we can. I think that would be for the best.

Really? I smell bullshit. Your condescending attitude is really shitty man. Then when you get called out on it, you back peddle and act like you did nothing wrong.

Like I just said, I didn't expect you or anyone else to be so up in arms about it, I thought you'd be able to handle a little sarcasm without losing your shit over it.

This is starting to infuriate me as well. Maybe learn to take some criticism. And how about responding to it instead of whining about it all day long. Be an adult about it, don't go around calling people names because they suggested you weren't being perfect for one tiny second. Jeez.

EP the anti-theist decides he's grown weary of discussing the religious on an atheist forum, and now everyone should follow suit.

Well, that's just lovely.

@EP Nice try with your word salad. It won't work on me. Besides, I spent a whopping five minutes responding, not whining and most certainly not "all day long".

I love how you try to twist things all around like it's nothing. This thread was fine until you walked in and shit on it. Good job on yet another derail. You're becoming a pro at that.

I'm not going to play your games, I've learned that lesson in the past. Rules are arbitrary and if the staff decides that I broke any they're welcome to handle me any way they see fit. I wouldn't like to be a part of anything where dissent isn't allowed anyway, if they decide to side with you. But please quit being such a manipulative bitch and don't think you're being subtle about it neither.

As for conducts, I believe I attacked a certain group mentality and you responded by flaming me and dismissing me entirely instead of responding to what I said.

It's not a derail. I responded to the OP. You responded back. A conversation started where you repeatedly accused me of things and I defended myself, as well I should.

Just like he didn't need to make a whole reality full of almost completely nothing, just to eventually get worked up about where some shaved chimps stick their nobs.

Look, Nymph, I'm sorry, maybe I was too harsh with my original reply. It clearly didn't have the intended effect so I'm in the wrong here. I apologize for the nasty things I said and it's ok if you don't want to apologize for yours, even though they clearly had a bad effect on me. I don't think this is any way to have a conversation and if the only way we can discuss this is by insulting each other and flinging accusations at each other then it's better that we don't do it at all. It's just not healthy and it's clearly unproductive as well.

I am truly sorry that we couldn't have an adult conversation about it. I guess it just goes to show that some level of superficiality can never be breached over the internet. Maybe this is why people become so nasty at times. Anyway, this is my last post in this thread. Lighten up and enjoy it 'cause I'm gone.

P.S. Since I won't be posting here anymore, I probably won't be reading any further posts either.

It's this statement that makes you the forum assface. The rest of your post makes you no different than any other emo (or whatever you whippersnappers are calling it these days) teenager that lives to go against the grain. You're hardcore and extreme because you choose not to think like everyone else. At worst it can be annoying at times, but mostly I think it's pretty normal teen behavior. But then you go the extra step and add in some condescending insult to remind us all that you're so much smarter and better than us. I don't know if you care at all but I decided I'm going to start pulling these out of your posts and pointing them out to you in the hopes of you're better understanding why people think you're a jerk instead of just a non-conformist.

Probably teenager is inaccurate. It's just an attitude I typically see in young adults. 16-24 maybe? I'm sure it's not limited to that age group. Just happens to be where I'm used to seeing it.

A god has very definitive definitions. If he needs a day of rest, he's not a god.
