Being at a shootout at the Vienna airport in 1985. That's as close as I came. The other incidents like OPEC in 1975 and the attack on the Synagogue in 1981, I believe, I only experienced in the vicinity.

Because they are less likely to be impartial. But - also in court - the victim of the particular crime is often called upon to give testimony.
