He, as in meaning the christian god, I'm 99 percent sure, he doesn't exist. His existence just doesn't compute with what we know about the world and the universe. If you're talking about some higher, neutral and not humanocentric intelligence, noone can rule that out.

The god that supposedly wished everything into existence over six days, whose story insists that the Moon is a light source, stars are little lamps that can fall to Earth, and opens up windows in the sky to let the rain in? Yeah, we can say for certain that that character doesn't exist.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Have you looked into Yehwah's consort Asherah before the cultural milieu went full patriarchy?
Many ancient considerations of God were of a male and female nature in divine/sexual union.

Interesting how a "Day" is described, "an evening and morning"...relatively this describes a falling and a rising of light.
In the terminology of that time a "day" can also mean a space/span of time like a aeon (a very long age of time with definite beginning and end), or a whole realm unto itself.
Nearly all the old colorful "religious/legendary" language was metaphor and allegory. Symbols people were familiar with to point to things and processes beyond our scale of interaction.

Then you have plants on a sunless Earth for an aeon. Yep, that rescues the story. Try the rain windows next.
Which parts are meant to be metaphorical and allegory, and which literal? Is there a metric by which to tell the difference? And the bonus question: what are these parts metaphors and allegories for?

I don't think "earth" is this planet, nor any planet at all. More important is the relative perspective given, knowing the geocentric paradigm of the time: You have a solid "earth" central to a spherical heaven (the stars where thought to be pin holes in a spherical fabric around the earth at a fixed distance) with a space created between them.
I've found the most utility in viewing it as all allegory/metaphor, for the structural creation of a universe. I see the biblical account as an abridged re-creation of a very old story, colored by the cultural clothing of the times.
Genesis 1:1 "encodes" for a very specific shape arrangement that you might recognize from older systems.

Why do you assume if a God were extant, it would be male?
The word "he" is masculine and for a long time masculine words were dominate. Like modern day Spanish.

Nice way to avoid the question.

You like those long-haired, skinny white philosopher types?
Where were you about 20 years ago? How come no cute girls invited me to THEIR basements?

Who says he's depicted accurately.
Who says she's older than 20 or about 20?
No cute girls invited you to their basements because of statements like this.
