Well, I've got this odd tiny bump on the edge of my lower lip. The tiny bump has a few other tinier and white colored raised spots/bumps on them. Does anyone know what this is? It isn't painful or anything like that for that matter, I didn't even notice them until I saw them. This is the second time this has happened to me afaik. Last time, I'm very sure they didn't break and leak or anything. They're not painful at all unless I put pressure on them, then I can feel them a bit. Is it an infection? I have a long term and bad habit of biting the skin off my lips, however the affected area is an area I don't bite. halp me. I hope it's not herpes or someshit Sad

Perhaps this link might help:

Thanks, something helpful at last. But it's not very similiar to mine. Nor is it (mine) very similiar to the herpes I'm afraid of, but I'm still a tad bit worried :p

I'm betting on herpes.

Mate, apart from Valkyrie we aren't doctors. Better see one to get to the bottom of this if it gives you concern.

You do realize something like 80% of adults have herpes? Most people who have it don't even know. If you do have mouth herpes, don't freak, just get treatment.

I know I don't have it, as testing while I was pregnant said no, but I was friends with a girl for years, and she had the mouth kind. She just had some kind of cream to clear it up, and it probably only broke out once a year or less. Don't kiss anyone until you know, though.

It could also be a sebaceous cyst. I have gotten a couple of those as I age, makes me feel like the wicked witch. But those don't have white spots...

Wow...a bump with a few white heads on top?
White usually means pus...so... some sort of infection...
Herpes sucks, but I don't think it looks like what you describe (I don't have it, so I'm going from memory of seeing people who do)...should just be a reddish bump that turns into a wound after a few hours or days.

So... You may have something different... Something much friendlier...or something far worse...
I'd advise a trip to the doc... webmd is great to fuel your paranoia! Wink
