If that's what he thinks it is, some Abreva can clear that up and its OTC. A cold sore is more common than people think.
It could also be just an inconvenient place for acne.

Impossible to diagnose with just a description. Could be any of a hundred different things. Some would scare the crap out of you and others will make you shrug and get on with your life. Any guesses would likely be wrong.

See a doctor.
