The 'sore' seems to have declined a bit and the once greyish spots are now brownish, odd.

Define private parts? I don't consider mouths to be private but I do think you should avoid kissing when you have a cold sore. Private parts....sigh

Penises and vaginas.  He should not put his mouth on someone's penis or vagina, because oral herpes can be transmitted to the genital organs.  He should not kiss someone and let them put their mouth on his penis for the same reason.

Herpes is a virus that causes a skin rash that causes some discomfort, not so sure why people get all crazy about it. A canker sore, aphthous stomatitis, is different and generally known as non contagious and may have multiple causes.

I've had bouts of health anxiety in the past and all the worrying was pointless because i ended up having nothing but i learned quite a bit.

Also diagnosing skin problems with words is pointless, doc has to see it.
