The level of acceptance of 'Steve the Drunk' was (to me) odd in the extreme.
Still, he got his work done, reeling drunk all the time. Till the mule TBI'd him . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

It was a brutal place, that's for sure.
The Ian McShane character was about the most vile piece of shit portrayed on TV, and he was the worst racist in the town on top of his otherwise being vile in the extreme.
