It was the happiest day of my life, and I'm so pleased I can properly share it with you all.
We've listened to about half of it together now (Emma's been really busy being real and all) and she loves it! She's been giggling away
I'll get her complete thoughts once we've finished it.
As for the most though provoking question, funnily enough I think it was the question about dead pan humour. It made me realise how little idea I have about how and when that all started. I thought about it some more and then Jack Dee sprang to mind. I've always thought he was awesome. I've never made a conscious effort to emulate him, but he's probably been an influence!
I had an epic fail of dead pan one time at a basketball court. My friend and I were there, and two random guys were playing on their own. They came up to us and asked if we wanted to play two on two. I said, "How about three in three?" The guy stared at me blankly for about 30 seconds, then launched into, "Oh my god, you're so thick! There's not enough of us for that! You're an idiot!"
We have two types of scones in Britain. We have a "sk-own" and a "sk-on". What's the difference you ask? Before you eat it, it's a sk-own; once you've eaten it, it's sk-on.
We absolutely were. And still are! She makes me as happy as I can be given my conditions.
