But seriously, I don't think there even is a term for them but the term "hacker" is incorrect. Taking down a website through DDoS isn't hacking. Literally anyone, even those without any significant knowledge of computing could do it. Botnets can be purchased or even rented quite easily through script kiddie forums such as HF.

It affected me too with Twitter I first thought it was the wi fi connection at my mom's nursing home Then I thought it was my own computer but found out on the news it was nationwide. I hope they catch the fucker or fuckers who did it
