No, you don't always buy what makes you happy, that is what gets lots of people in trouble. I will be the first to admit I cant balance a checkbook to save my life. We do however far too much in America market quick fix financing and dept as a solution. Even things like dept refinancing is a scam preying on people who already have problems. Far too much of marketing anything is about a quick fix, from the food we eat to the technology we buy and the vehicles we drive. In your face, American muscle car owners Last time we hired a car in Germany we went for the cheapest possible and ended up with a Fiat 500. On our way back to the airport at Hamburg we decided to see how fast it could go on the Autobahn. I think after about a minute we managed to get it up to 95mph. We were impressed that something that could barely get up our hill in 1st gear managed that fast. We'll be hiring a car again when we fly into Hannover this Christmas (ooh just realised there's an English spelling of Hannover with only one n). It's going to be a fun Christmas. Everyone is an in-law to someone. Sister / brother / son / daughter / mother / father in-law. I've got a room stocked full of crates of German beer on standby in case people need to drink the stress away or there haven't been enough arguments yet and we need to start one. I'm sure the TV will keep people distracted though. Last time we spent a Christmas there the main TV channel showed wall to wall repeats of The A-team throughout the day.
