RE: Voted yesterday.....
I'm glad politics isn't so partisan where I live. Donald and Hilary are both awful in their own ways, yet (too many of) their respective supporters treat them both like the DPRK treats Dear Leader Kim Jong Un, when there is really no reason to. Hard to believe how many people won't admit their desired candidate has flaws.

There is this yucky fetishisation that surrounds Donald and Hilary. Personally I find Correct the Record trolls more unbearable than the people who have a Trump fetish because I think it's impossible to have a discussion with people who are paid to repeat tired talking points. I get the impression that many people who will be voting Trump are the angry victims of failed neo-liberal economic policies (although they may not put it in those terms) and aren't necessarily hateful individuals. They feel they aren't being listened to and I think they deserve to be listened to, and hopefully they can be worked with in order to end the crony capitalism that exists in many Western countries. We are are bound to see more of neo-liberalism (thanks to crony capitalism) and more neo-conservative foreign policy with Hilary as president. That war money can and should be spent bettering the lives of the poor instead of increasing the flood of refugees to Europe.

So glad I don't have a Hilary Fetish or Donald Fetish.

I can only interpret that to mean that you like Orange Skinned Perverts!

Meanwhile, his fucking fans are already causing trouble.

Quote:Trump supporter popped for electioneering after creating turmoil at Utah polling place

Quote:Ho’o believed he was being targeted for donning his Trump hat because his polling place was located in an area that predominately supports Utah’s anti-Trump candidate, Evan McMullin.
“You see McMullin bumper stickers and signs everywhere there,” he said. However, the state elections director for Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox, Mark Thomas clarified that the “electioneering” law was put in place so as to avoid voter intimidation at the polls.
He said Ho’o was only charged after refusing to remove his Trump apparel after being asked to remove it. “We don’t care what [voters] do,” he said, “as long as they are at least 150 feet away.”

Whem mormons fight.  How delicious.

The bit where you think Clinton will do anything to end corporate welfare is fucking hilarious. You don't know you're preferred candidate that well.

I found that hilarious as well. Yet it's supposed to be Jill Stein Bernie Sanders supporters who are the crazy ones with unrealistic expectations. Hell will freeze over before Hilary ends cooperate welfare.

An ABC poll has Trump with a one point lead nationwide.

Nationwide polls are utterly useless as predictors.

I hate this attitude and have hated it for decades from both party's voters. Hillary is not the entirety of the government anymore than Obama is or Bush Jr was or Reagan was. It takes an entire government and all three branches, not one politician.

Hillary can do something if she has a congress she can work with, but given the obstructionists GOP she will still have the likes of Bernie Sanders and Warren but especially the voters to put pressure on her to pull back to the left.

We have a much better shot of pulling back to the left with democrats than if Trump wins and that would be a disaster far worse than Bush Jr.
