As Trump said, "when you're a star, they let you do it", and it's both true and shameful that this stuff goes on, and goes unpunished.
On a related note I was watching a recent American Christmas film and the Gary Glitter Christmas song came on at a shopping mall or something and it reminded me that that song has been erased from history.
It used to be at every Christmas party but no longer.

Before my Nan died, she asked me whether there was anything that I'd like from her house, furniture wise. My wife and I had just moved into our new place and she knew we liked older, retro furniture. Well she had this amazing 1950's record player that I've loved since I was a kid, so she let me have that.
Among other great original LP's that came with it were Elvis Presley, The Supremes, T-Rex, Jimi Hendrix and Gary Glitter......
The Gary Glitter album was called "Touch Me."
Honestly.
You may refer to me as "Oh High One."

Speaking of Agent M, I've never understood his desire to be white.

He didn't want to look like a holstein, I don't know if that counts as wanting to be white, lol.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Sure, you should call every piece of shit a piece of shit. But these were artists too. The gave us songs that take us down memory lane and if they land in prison I still like the songs. Best example, on another note, is Phil Spector. He's obviously a convicted killer, but his wall of sound belongs to my first musical memories of the 60ies.

You're arguing a point I wasn't making, if you only listened to music by people who never broke the law, you'd have a pretty small record collection.
My point was the name of the album; Gary Glitter is a convicted paedophile.
