On a related note I was watching a recent American Christmas film and the Gary Glitter Christmas song came on at a shopping mall or something and it reminded me that that song has been erased from history.

Before my Nan died, she asked me whether there was anything that I'd like from her house, furniture wise. My wife and I had just moved into our new place and she knew we liked older, retro furniture. The Gary Glitter album was called "Touch Me."

Sure, you should call every piece of shit a piece of shit. But these were artists too. The gave us songs that take us down memory lane and if they land in prison I still like the songs. Best example, on another note, is Phil Spector. He's obviously a convicted killer, but his wall of sound belongs to my first musical memories of the 60ies.
