Then he should be worried. Trans people have more to fear here, but gay people have their own potential problems with this. If he doesn't want to worry, then fine. That's his choice. I'm going to watch my own ass, though, because I happen to like it.

Most of the anti-transgender stuff, especially the bathroom issues, are being done at a state level.  It's going to be difficult for Trump, or even congress, to do anything about it unless they're willing to go to the supreme court over it.

Irrelevant, they've had them for years.  Filled to the brim with enough duck dynasty shit and vienna sausage to last unto the end of days.  They'll have to drink their own piss...but they should be used to that by now.

My bunker will be spacious enough and so well stocked with every possible necessity that as many as 50 strangers can join me to ride out the coming storm. As a bonus, it will be fitted with the very best in survivalist commode comfort -- practically a throne, complete with power flush capacity, bidet, back massager, built-in home entertainment center, and cup holders. I'm also looking into the possibility of hiring pole dancers with severely compromised senses of smell to work the restroom area as a bonus, but that is still in the works.

Bottom line: it will be so nice, you'll wish it took longer to shit.

My fellow survivalists will be free to use my toilet facilities provided they roughly share my political leanings or are LGBT. Others will be shunned to the far corner of the bunker, where they will share a single Folgers coffee can which they will have to take turns cleaning outside at great personal risk.

I'm guessing that by the end of the ordeal, I will have all 50 strangers on board with the following proposition: Sharing restroom facilities with transgender folks isn't such a bad thing.

Fat chance on that, and we wouldn't have the high ground even if we went 100% green tomorrow.  Our QOL and status (such as it is) as a nation can be reduced to a unit of fossil fuels burnt/consumed per metrics increased.  China can and will burn as much fossil fuel as it takes to reach their goals and anyone who gives them shit for it is engaging in baseless hypocrisy. They;re leading the world in solar production atm anyway...not that it means much, since solar as-is is phenomenally dirty.

I say this as an environmental zealot, myself.....but it helps to understand the reality of the situation, and the tenuous nature of ones's own goals and desires.
