I would like to start this thread for Christians and Atheists (and whoever else). Something which I have struggled with is, who gets salvation?
Is just for Christians (Who dont even read their Bible) or is it given too all?
Before I defend my position I would like to hear what you guys believe, but use the Bible to back it up!!!
Its ok to have doubt, just dont let that doubt become the answers.
You dont hate God, you hate the church game.
"God is not what you imagine or what you think you understand. If you understand you have failed." Saint Augustine
Your mind works very simply: you are either trying to find out what are God's laws in order to follow them; or you are trying to outsmart Him. -Martin H. Fischer
I was taught as a child that anyone that accepts Jesus into their heart and asks god for forgiveness... will go to Heaven. I can't back it up with the bible, though... because I was Catholic. Ha!
God knows everything that will happen
God made heaven and hell
God made the criteria for acceptance into either
God made the earth
God made people
God made sin
God made a situation that he knew would result in humans sinning (fruit of the tree)
God offered created Jesus to make up for this
God decided that Salvation and avoidance of hell is contingent upon accepting Jesus
God left us with nothing but ancient manuscripts brutally tainted by time and politics in order to decide this
If i don't accept these ancient books as evidence of the death of God in human form as atonement for some sin that i also have no reason to believe exists, God will burn me for eternity.

According to bible atheists wont get salvation am I correct? Islam is also clear about that issue..
And there is one perfect hadith explains how unjust that is.
A woman invites muhammad to her home and asks "these are my children and whatever they have done I can't throw them to this fire. Even I can't do it how could allah does?" Our genious prophet replies: "I dunno I am just a messenger"
You have to make a choice. Accept bible and lost your humanity or Refuse bible and lost your religion. Which one do you value most??

Conclusion: God is a complete fucking asshole.
You nor anyone else is using the Bible to back up your statements and with you Void it's for certain you need to study scriptures and find an understanding of what's in them.

Jesus said that no one could come unto the Father except through Him and since He was giving His life for us I believe He understood what He said. John 14:6
Heirs to the kingdom of God. Gal. 4:1-7
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him shall have eternal life. salvation
Christ came to redeem us. Titus 2:11-14
Only those who believe in Christ as the redemptive Son of God, as the above states.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Luke 5:32, "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man come to the Father, but by me."
John 3:16, it tells us in verse 21, "But he that does truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."
Also, James 2:19-26 says, "If you believe that there is one God; you doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? See how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which said, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. You see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." Some people claim that they are Christian, so that they feel they are going to heaven, but if they don't turn from their wicked lifestyle, then they aren't living up to their professed faith.
We cannot earn our salvation: Eph 2:8-9, "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Matthew 7:21-23, "Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in your name cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity."
Matthew 22:37-40, "Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
1 John 3:14, "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death. Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer: and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him." Mark 11:26 tells us that if we don't have mercy and forgive one another, it blocks us off from God forgiving us.
1 Corinthians 6:9, Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders shall inherit the kingdom of God." Of course, a person can come from that kind of a lifestyle, and be redeemed (that's why Jesus came to earth!), but that doesn't mean they can continue in their sins.
1 Thessalonians 5:23, "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Timothy 2:22, "Flee also youthful lusts: but follow (pursue) righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart."
