Just had a bed bath, hmm I could get used to that Tongue

Got so many fucking wires coming out of me I can't do much myself yet. They'll start coming out soon.

Glad to hear from you on the other side.

Ymmmmm, hospital jello. Nummy, nummy.

Have you had your first post op fart yet?

This is just a guess but have you heard the word intussusception?

RE: My operation
I ended up getting apple and banana smoothie, and vegetable soup, freshly made. Really nice!

I feel very well cared for here.

I've not heard of that weird word, no! And I'm not at the fart stage yet. That will be getting on for home time when I manage that. I have however filled plenty of buckets with my lovely urine without feeling it.

Epidural now taken out! My smooth back made the easier as there was loads of sticky stuff to rip off it.

Okay, so! It turns out I did get shaved a little bit. The hair around my tummy area got trimmed down. It feels nice and soft!

I have three small scars. One is from a camera I believe. This identified that there was no stricture, but that instead parts of the intestine had become stuck together. This seems to be what was causing my symptoms. So the other two scars are, I think, where the surgeon went in and removed fhe scarrings which were holding the gut in on itself.

This all seems to be the best possible outcome. The keyhole surgery leaves small neat scars, and has a much lower risk of this kind of thing repeating. (It appears this problem may have occurred following my previous, much more major operation). As no cutting inside the gut was needed, my recovery will be quicker and less painful. And it should still mean the blockages stop, so that in time I can eat a proper diet again.

Finally, some luck!

RE: My operation
Happy to hear everything went well, Rob Smile

Protip: follow the instructions to the letter when it comes time for them to remove your catheter (usually it's to take a big exhale while they're pulling it out). Also, the amount of catheter tube that's in you is likely more than you're anticipating (remember: it goes directly into your bladder), so try to do the big exhale in a controlled way. I, uh, speak from a lot of patient experience with this one. Tongue

While you're there, avail yourself of some cosmetic procedures ??

As men age, the balls tend to hang lower and lower, a little 'tuck' downstairs could give you the scrotum of a 20 year old!

Got foreskin ? If yes, lose it, if no, they can do a reconstruction.

How about nipples and areolae ? Do an honest appraisal; everything level and symmetric? If not, now's the time to get them synchronized.

Been to see Rob in hospital today. And I have to say he's fighting fit! Looked like he was enjoying a nice soup and fruit smoothie for dinner.

Thanks very much for coming to see me Smile

Yes, I feel I'm over the hump now. I reckon I'll be getting most of these tubes out tomorrow!

There's an old Robin Williams sketch where he talks about a couple of surfers, one says something like, "Wow, Tommy, I really got tubed!" Not what you got, though. Big Grin   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tube_riding
