Jesus did not rise from the dead -- My debate opening statement.
RE: Jesus did not rise from the dead -- My debate opening statement.
Quote:To show that Jesus was indeed god and rose from the dead you need to provide evidence of same.

Oh, and that's where the whole fucking silly story breaks down, isn't it.

Drich,

In reference to your post within this thread, #92.

YOUR MISINTERPRETATION OF WHAT I SAID QUOTE:  "Reallyy?!?!? then please explain (book chapter and verse) the reasons one
must have to attend church.."

ICON’S REFUTATION:  Uh, I didn’t say you had to attend your “division” of a church, I said that since you went, you went
for the wrong reason. Get it?
Glob...
Yes I get it, let pretent I got it the first time and now frame my quote around the idea I got it.. Kinda changes what I'm asking doesn't it?

I am asking what reasons (IF NOT CHASING CHICKS) is a legitimate reason to be in church. Then I asked for book chapter and verse. that is essentially me asking for a command or a rule that says here are the reasons one must attend.

Now the question is, do you 'get it?'

Quote:I am sure your serial killing Jesus would agree that you're not to go to church to pick up "hot chicks!"
Then please explain why He sent so much time talking to and eating with the dregs of his society rather than they 'holy and chase?'
Quote:In any event, to appease your blatant biblical ignorance, I will answer your question where it is better for the inept pseudo-christian like you
to attend your “division” of a church:

"Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to
his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him
ith strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals!” (Psalm 150: 1-6)
Hehe
(Sporty here doesn't know the difference between a command and a psalm.)

Oh great teacher doth thou really make such a critical mistake or is this a test?

Quote:I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these things to you so that, if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God,
which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.” (1 Timothy 3: 14-15)

Oh, noes! great teacher, it seem you do not understand simple context either...
1 Tim 3 is about establishing and qualifying leadership with in the church, it says nothing about who is allowed in and why.
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?se...imothy%203

what else you got?

Can it trump 3 of a kind?
Meaning in three of the 4 Gospels Jesus Himself is recorded in saying:
Mark 2:17, mat 9:12, Luke 5:31
All three say the same thing. From luke:
29 Then Levi gave a big dinner at his house for Jesus. At the table there were many tax collectors and some other people too. 30 But the Pharisees and those who taught the law for the Pharisees began to complain to the followers of Jesus, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and other sinners?”

31 Jesus answered them, “It is the sick people who need a doctor, not those who are healthy. 32 I have not come to ask good people to change. I have come to ask sinners to change the way they live.”

Ever heard the expression "Christ's Church is a Hospital for the sinners, not a hall of fame of saints." It comes from these passages. Why? because there is no salvation for people who do not think they needed it. Only those who know they are in sin. Someone like one who goes to church looking to hook up with a hot chick afterwards.
Quote:If you need anymore passages concerning your ignorance on this topic, or any other, let me know, I’ll add more embarrassing egg upon your face, okay?

yes please.

preponderance of the existing evidence shows that the BIBLE Jesus did not exist? Already looking for excuses to RUN?!

In simple terms so your inept pseudo-christian mind can understand, in your presumed past of coming out of discussions with Atheists unscathed is moot,
that was the past, and this is now, and you have yet to debate me on this specific topic, or any other pseudo-christian topics, understood?
just bring it already.

ignorant of any pseudo-christian within this forum, get it?
Stimbo already laid it out for you retard, it's not going to happen your way. just poop out you friggen argument already so I can cut it up and force feed it back to you line by line like I did the OP.

what are you Asian? is English your second language? how do you not understand your bluff is being called.. it's time to show what you have. Talkie time is over. How about you find or message me when you get done transcribing/plagiarizing whatever youtube video you are trying to draw your argument from, and finally post it.

Quote:Of notice, you're really ignorant relative to your primitive Bronze and Iron Age cultist Christian faith as has been shown ad infinitum within just
our discussions.  I'll try and give you some slack because of this fact, okay?  You can thank me at that time.
holy crap someone please come get me when this troll posts something of substance.. Even if it is just more misuse of scripture.. Something I can legit beat him with. I'm done with this verbal D* measuring contest if he is not willing to be sized up.

Drich, the Psalm refers to how pseudo-christians like YOU are to conduct yourselves in CHURCH, deducing the fact that you're to go to church
in the first place, and not attend for the ungodly notion of obtaining "hot chicks!  GET IT FOOL?

Househod of Yaweh = Church!  If the church is there to establish leadership, then the church is there for the obvious reason of ATTENDANCE!!! GET IT FOOL?

You've just shown CONTRADICTING passages to not attend church, whereas the above passages in question say the church is there for a reason, and that is
to ATTEND CHURCH!  Jesus H. Chist, when will your ignorance regarding your pagan faith ever end???  HELLO, ANYBODY HOME TODAY? LOL

Quote:If you need anymore passages concerning your ignorance on this topic, or any other, let me know, I’ll add more embarrassing egg upon your face, okay?

yes please.

“Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:25)

Saying, “I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.” (Hebrews 2:12)

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” (Exodus 20:8)

Along with the aforementioned verses that were easily refuted to your dismay once again, these additional passages should quell your ignorance. Besides, do the simple math, why do churches exist in the first place, if they were NOT to be used in placating to your serial killer Jesus? Do you not attend your church
as you stated, HELLO, EARTH TO DRICH!!!  2+2=4.  Duh.

WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!!!!  In calling me a RETARD, and as usual, the ever so inept and ignorant pseudo-christian like you goes directly against Jesus' inspired word, and slaps him directly in the face, HOW DARE YOU PERFORM THIS UNGODLY ACT, FOOL?

"It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.” (Matthew 15:11)

Jesus H. Christ, you're one of the biggest hypocritical pseudo-christians that I've ever seen, congratulations!

Barring your ungodly blatant RACIST comment, I've tried first to obtain a separate thread for us, but that didn't come to pass. I draw upon something that is known to be embarrassing for all pseudo-christians like you, and that is your primitive Judeo-Christian bible, and actual factual historicity of the Bronze and Iron Age of your primitive beginnings of your pagan faith, understand?

21stCentury and Drich, on behalf of the AF community, I'd like to say how happy I am for both of you that you found each other. It's heartwarming to see two people find their ideal online match. May you bicker pointlessly for many years to come!

I'll be taking up a collection. Are there particular stores at which you are registered? Could you use his and his monogrammed towels? Something for the kitchen? Let me know.

Hey everyone, look at Crossless1's IRRELATIVE post above, see it?  He is so proud, give him recognition
that is so obviously needed by him!  Don't let him down, okay? ++++ APPLAUSE SIGN IN ON! ++++

See what I mean, this is the prime example of an insipid "Sideline Nibbler," where there is no content of the topic, other than to again
show themselves as needing "attention" from their equally inept brethren that can no more discuss the topic at hand, than to be able to fly!

Thanks for the example Crossless1, hope you don't mind if I use you as an example of the "Sideline Nibbler" in this forum, and others!

Glad to oblige. Let me know if you bother to actually post anything of substance and I might change my M.O. when it comes to you. Until then, keep amusing me. You're like an atheist Alex Jones -- and just as 'irrelative'.

If Jesus truly raised people from a state of clinical death back to life, then someone like Josephus would have taken note of it.  He took notice of a whole plethora of other events and happenings in Palestine, "idle gossip" to quote one scholar.  Why didn't Josephus, in his 21 volumes, mention Jesus more, other than a few passing references???

How do you know he didn't mention Jesus more?

Such a mention would have to be in those portions of his works that did not survive into the modern era; however, no such quotes exist among the pre-Nicene Church fathers that allude to such "missing quotations", which means that the only references from Josephus about Jesus are the ones that are available today.  In any case, it is clear that Josephus was clearly unimpressed with Jesus and his so-called "miracles", just as he was unimpressed with the so-called Roman and Jewish miracle-workers.

Josephus knew of no Jesus. There was no reference to Jesus in any of his works until Eusebius of Caesarea "found" a copy with them c. 325 CE. Unfortunately for christians Eusebius was a well known forger and liar for god, having been called out for it in his own time by Origen. And we have plenty of evidence that the testamonium is an outright forgery, for example Photius I, patriarch of Constantinople had an original copy of Josephus in Hebrew which contained no reference in the 10th century, and Erasmus read multiple copies as late as the 1500s in Hebrew without any reference to Jesus. Added to this a stylistic analysis of the passages "witnessing" Jesus are written in terse and direct language, which was not the style of Josephus who would write 20 when one would do, and included minor and incidental details all over his works.

As I said Josephus knew of no Jesus.

The scholarly consensus is that the Testamonium is not authentic with the majority viewpoint holding that it is an embellished forgery with a minority viewpoint being that it was an outright forgery.  But, yes, Eusebius was likely the perpetrator of the fraud.
