I've watched every state of the union address and inauguration in the last 20 years (I'm 33). This year I can't bear to turn on the TV to see a man who has no concept of truth other than whatever narrative is within convenient reach, take the highest office in our country.

Are any of you watching this? Do you have other plans?

I'm somehow finding some motivation to clean the toilet, so I might just have to miss this one. Oh well. At least I still get to deal with disappointing shit.

Maybe just wait for and compare cable news highlights.

You should turn it off to boycott him, but you should also pay attention to news, to keep track of his assholish comments in order to respond to them.

You cant let a fucking dick like that get away with it. We have seen where political demagoguery gets humans, not just in America, but in human history. It is a very dark road.

I'm curious, tbh. I'll watch, unless I have other obligations. Frankly, I can't even remember whether I've watched before. I almost went in '08, but it seemed like it would be an infrastructural mess, and by the news accounts, it was even worse than I imagined (restrooms, transit). 

It's just a big day in the life of our country, whether good or not. so, I want to watch. 

I will say that I am curious what entertainment there will be in the end, with acts refusing him left and right.

I'm attending an inauguration party with some of my friends. We'll be playing the Trump card game while screening the Nov 4 episode of Z Nation.
