Not quite, Trumps businesses will make profit from this, while the future of the nation might be sacrificed. But who cares about the future? It's all about making profit now, be it by denying climate change or damning your nations economy.

The difference is there was no equivalent of an unsatisfactory armistice for a really powerful state. Russia today is not a match for Germany's potential in 1933.
