Well lets start with the teenagers. I myself am in my teenage years so I should know best. Here where I live in central Europe, the amount of teenagers smoking cigarettes, weed, taking drugs, drinking alcohol is way greater. Every teen here does it and I myself has tried cigarettes and alcohol as a muslim. In the UAE there were way less of that but there was still a lot of teens smoking cigarettes, and a tiny bit of drinking alcohol. Dubai has a lot of stuff to do for teenagers, all those malls and stuff. That why I think the teens did less of bad stuff then here in Europe.

Dubai was also way safer. A teenager there could stay outside until the early morning hours alone because nothing would happen. Here you cannot stay outside that late because there are a lot of people who are drunk and carry knifes. Also here in Europe because of the refugees coming in it has gotten way less secure.

You're using Dubai in the past tense so I assume you moved from Dubai to Europe.  What caused you to move from the safer, probably richer country to go to central Europe?

I'm also assuming you/your family has a decent amount of money if you say you and other teenagers enjoyed the malls in Dubai.  Why would you not decide to stay there?

Yes I moved back from Dubai to Europe where I was born. We moved back to Europe because of family reasons, but I wish everyday to move back to Dubai since I enjoyed the time there way more and we are debating to go back but my parents business is based in Europe so it might be tough

I'm curious about your opinion of groups like ISIS (who are the direct cause of the refugee crisis in Europe) and the polls that show 60-80%+ of the Muslim population, including those in Europe, supporting the killing of anyone who leaves Islam or who insult your prophet/religion?

For your first question. I personally hate ISIS. I hate the fact that they call themselves muslim and that the media calls them muslims. They have nothing to do with the religion of Islam and cannot say they are killing in the name of Allah because in the quran it says:
“Whoever kills a person [unjustly]…it is as though he has killed all mankind. And whoever saves a life, it is as though he had saved all mankind.” (Qur’an, 5:32)
Them being disbelievers is not a reason to kill people because:
1. In the Quran it says believers include the people of the book (Muslims, Jews and Christians), and ISIS kills those.
2. You should not kill anyone for any reason (except if they killed someone of your family purposely, but if you forgive that person it is better and Allah will forgive your bad deeds more easily)

The muslims that support ISIS have been brainwashed by Hadith. I personally do not believe in the Hadith because in the Quran it states that the Quran is the complete religion, meaning that there must not be any extra books about what to do and what not.


Now on your question on my viewpoint of the treatment of women in many of the more conservative Muslim countries/societies. I believe that what you see on the media is not entirely true because I have a friend from Saudi Arabia and people who have visited there and they say the women are happy. However I understand the treatment is not the best but it is slowly improving and will in the future hopefully be just as in any other country.

Doesn't Dubai have strict morality police that will arrest you for kissing in public etc.

Dubai does have strict rules but those rules are not followed and are not necessarily bad. There are tons of couples kissing in public and nothing happens. The police and security is very kind.
