Mafia game threads showing in "Today's Posts" lists
February 4, 2017 at 5:57 pm
Is there some way a group could be implemented, or at least a thread title rule, for the mafia games? While I have no problem with the game or anyone who wishes to play, the mafia threads pop up in the when you click "Today's Posts." Again, not a problem when the thread title contains info that makes it clear that it's part of a mafia game. Thread titles like "Roleclaiming / Character Claiming Poll" (not picking on you Tibs, it's just the example from today's posts) give no indication what they're for.

In the 2nd column it lists which section the thread belongs in, so mafia related threads will have "Mafia" mentioned there.

Yes, it does. I don't typically look that far as my interests are varied enough (and enough threads get misplaced) that I don't usually care what sub-forum it's in.

I don't know that we would want to restrict it to group members only, as I think the Mafia players want new members who may not otherwise know we have Mafia to see it as they are browsing.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Then I think a simple "Mafia Game:" addition to the title would benefit both those who wish to avoid the game and those who wish to attract new players.

It might be possible to automatically prefix the Forum name in front of the subject for all results.
So you would also get stuff like:

That would be incredibly annoying.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
