I'm actually having a hard time wrapping my head around something as simple as this which a 3 year old won't have trouble with lol

Gotta call bullshit there.  Three year olds would never be able to wrap their head around that and it is a bit of a poser for human brains in general, but well worth the effort.

Your problem is that you've not properly analogized mathematical concepts to the real world. If you have a cake, and "don't do anything with it", that's not analogous to dividing by zero, that's analogous to dividing by 1. That is, you had 1 cake... and you "cut it into one piece." That's... 1/1 = 1.

Don't worry, my friend.  If this be the end, then so shall it be.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

1) "I'm" delusional to think there's a cake when there isn't one.

2) Nothing interesting happens.

It's okay. The cake is a lie.

Officially the cake is an alternative fact.
