No, you have -2- halves of a cake.......that's definitional to the concept of a half, you realize....?

Quote:I have a cake(1) and I cut it into absolutely nothing (1/0) now i have a cake. (1/0=1)

You mean you did no operation whatsoever?  Well, ofc...if you start with a quantity, and do no operation...you still have the same quantity......
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I have a cake(1) and I cut it into absolutely nothing (1/0) now i have a cake. (1/0=1)
You should make a video of yourself cutting something into nothing. It would go viral like the girl who smooshes her face into bread.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Okay. So let me get this straight.

It doesn't make sense to not cut a cake(1/0) but it makes sense to cut a non existent cake(0/1)?

You cut a non existent cake into two and you are left with no cake, well you had no cake to begin with anyway.

Similarly, you cut a cake into absoluetly nothing and you're left with your whole cake. (1/0=1)

Can't answer. There's never any cake in a plate. Do you mean on the plate?

Oh yeah? Well you make a video of yourself cutting a non existent cake into two(0/2)! Let's see.

No, it just makes sense to talk about dividing a zero quantity of cake x ways.  If you've got no cake, everyone goes hungry (gets no cake).

But you can't make good sense of dividing anything no ways at all - except as Steel showed if you mean you leave it intact, which is division by 1, not 0.

Right, the divisor is not how many cuts you make, it's how many pieces you want when the cutting is done.

I'm actually having a hard time wrapping my head around something as simple as this which a 3 year old won't have trouble with lol
