I haven't found SNL particularly funny in recent years, but they've been killing it with all the Trump stuff. Spot-on portrayal of Sean Spicer especially.

SNL has been killing it lately

The WLB has reinvigorated my interest in SNL.
Yeah, the skit this weekend about having Leslie Jones play Trump (as Alec Baldwin probably can't do it for four years) might be fucking great.
Having a yuuge black female play Donald Trump would wrankle him and get under his skin so bad. I also heard a rumor that Rosie O'Donnell might play Steve Bannon.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

The best thing that ever happened for SNL and other political satirists is simultaneously the worst thing that ever happened to us as a a country.
It's not worth it, imo.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay." For context, this is the previous verse: "Hi Jesus" -robvalue
I wasn't a big Melissa McCarthy fan, but she has grown on me. Not just this, but it a few other roles like this is 40.
“Eternity is a terrible thought. I mean, where's it going to end?”
― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead
heh, even south park creators had to give up, let's see how long snl can keep up with the real satirists making skits real

South Park has at least 3 more seasons; Trey and Matt will recover, I think. That last season took a lot out of them, it seems.

I enjoyed the Sean Spicer one that Steel posted in another thread, can't remember which thread though. But don't you think all this Trump material will eventually get boring?
