Is Genesis History?
It's coming to my town this Thursday at 7 PM CST:

Should we organize some last-minute protests?

P.S. Both theaters in town will be playing it.

I live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; however, just do a search on Carmike Cinemas.

I can save people some money – in no way shape or form can genesis be considered history. This is not subject to debate, opinion, or literary criticism. Genesis is an origin myth, no more related to actual history than the myths of any other culture.

As far as I can tell, the movie is only airing for a single showing.  I guess Box Office Mojo will have more information:

Nothing so far; although, Rogue One is still doing well, and the Blue Ray/DVD release is sometime next month!!  Hopefully, we'll get some extended scenes!!!

Almost want the religio-charlatans to keep fleecing their compulsive gullible flocks, those flocks might eventually learn something when they realize the ones they've given their money too have not the slightest interest in anything Christ taught except it is WAY better to be the one RECIEVING the tithes than the ones bankrolling them.

The graduate level Historiography class at Purdue teaches how to spot bad history and gives, via that mechanism, information on what makes good history. I don't think believers would care to apply those rigors to their Bible.

It tells us how the group that came up with the myth viewed themselves, and also a little bit about their version of a dreamtime utopia/dystopia.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
