Just got the following canned email from my Republican Senator, Joni Ernst:

Senator Joni Ernst’s regional directors will hold traveling office hours throughout the month of March in all 99 counties in Iowa.Senator Ernst will not be at the traveling office.
Representatives from Senator Ernst’s office will be available in counties throughout the state to assist Iowans with problems or questions about eligibility involving issues like Social Security, veterans’ benefits, military affairs, passports, immigration issues, and other federal programs.

Of course, there are 99 counties in the not-so-great State of Iowa, all of which are pretty much the same size:

As her constituent, there is much political precedence for an elected official to physically visit the locales where their constitutes are located. I can think of no exceptions since the founding of the Republic.

Well, having lived in Iowa my entire life (which includes being born here), Senator Charles Grassley used to visit all 99 counties once a year! Not sure if Chuck is doing that this year or not; he can always use "old age" as his excuse!

Along the same lines, my GOP representative (Jaime Herrera-Buetler) has been ducking constituents for over a month. Said constituents have been calling for her to hold an in-person town hall, which she has refused to do. She finally held a phone town hall on a few hours notice and fielded a couple of softball questions.
It's apparent she isn't interested in hearing from her constituents.
