Marxism may be atheistic, but atheism has nothing to do with Marxism.

And objectivism has nothing to do with atheism. Ayn Rand just happened to be an atheist.

If those are kissing cousins, you might as well call Islam and Christianity fucking cousins.

You can have all sorts of ideologies in addition to being an atheist. I think everyone naturally forms their own ideology, so I'd find it odd for someone to not have one. I just don't see why anyone should hold a specific ideology simply because they don't believe in a god, though. I hold my ideologies because of what I believe, but never because of what I don't believe.

Anyone think being in a coma is a kissing cousin to being a true believer? Funny how facile these sorts of associations come for positions one doesn't hold themselves.

No, Marxism is non-theistic, in the sense that religion has nothing to do with it. You can be a Christian Marxist quite easily.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide mankind that cannot be achieved as well or better through secular means.

Like you need to be an atheist + a feminist or + a Marxist.
To each of their own, but atheism is the lack of belief in god, not making it like a cult or religion.
