To explain why we can define God to affirm his existence!
March 19, 2017 at 12:08 pm

The word "exist" doesn't define existence but is a short precise reference to it. But we cannot divorce our understanding of the word from existence. And existence by definition includes all that exist.
So when we think of word "exists", we cannot but help think of a universal unifying reality to all things that exist. We do it automatically.
The thing is despite people mocking St. Anslem (hope I have spelling right this time), part of beauty/praise is existence.
For example, you can think a thought and never do it but it would be a really awesome thing to do for the world. Or you can do it. We all know the latter is better because is HAS REAL existence, and REAL effect.
It's more beautiful and praiseworthy act than simply to imagine.
Greatness and existence are linked. That all possible greatness necessarily has to derive it's reality from existence and not from mere imagination or possibility.
God being conceived, it automatically means he exists, even though we don't fully conceive him.
It's hard to wrap your head around it, but you will realize, this really because existence is just another name for God.
All creation are closer to non-existence infinitely more so then existence.
We are forever in need of God and in total poverty towards him, so blessed are the poor in spirit!

You see to be trying to be all deep and philisophical, but it falls kind of flat, and leaves everyone confused.
"God being conceived, it automatically means he exists, even though we don't fully conceive him."
Are you trying to say that, because people can imagine something, it must exist? By extension, you believe that all gods exist?

False. I have never had the slightest need for your god and do not expect this situation to change any time soon.

Um...just no.
None of any of that:
1. Makes sense
2. Tldr
3. Don't care
4. Isn't evidence of any kind of god no matter how much one fantasizes about it.

What I'm in need of is a proper holiday, a stiff drink and losing 20 lbs. God? Je n'ai pas besoin de cette hypothèse-là, my friend.

MK, a serious question: Do you understand the difference between 'argument' and 'assertion'?

And I'm currently in need of lunch, and a soupçon of momentum to get the laundry into the dryer, the household garbage out to the trash bin, and my clarinet out of its case so that I can get some practice done. I have rather low-impact needs today.
