he murdered an old man....what the fuck is going on these days....
from what i gathered i am guessing the guy had a mental breakdown because of his girlfriend or something...

A lot less murder than there used to be for a start. Yes the killing was horrible, but go back five hundred years (when the murder rate in London was close to thirteen times it is today) and the death would barely have been noticed.

Actually, blind trust is what I perceive to be a case of delusion, decorated with desperate attempts to cut humanity a slack. Some people will use everything to get what they want, that includes physical force and also psychological force.
A super power would use both. That is represented in the military -physical force- and intelligence agency -psychological force-. The more there's a balance between the two, the more easily wars are won.
Gawdzila Sama was right mentioning false flags as the right term. Between hundreds of crimes happening daily, one crime get to get publicity in one day, I might think about a crazy person went breserk, but I would also put MOAB being dropped few days ago, North Korea's arising nuclear threat, the Middle East drenching in a new disgusting bloodbath, and then think: maybe somebody is trying to divert the American public from a certain point?
Just like somebody before, used 9/11 to invade a country that has nothing to do with Bin Laden? based on false reports of WMDs?

Oh, I have no doubt that our government and others pull shady shit in the ME, especially to distract from domestic issues. And I have no doubt that Islamic crimes get singled out to push agendas.
But you're missing the point that no one has to fake Muslim attacks on innocent people to create an opportunity. They just have to wait for the next one.
