P.S. I do not own a gun because I'm a wossy.

I'm pretty liberal on most things and I have never done any of those things.

Nor do I think those things are socially acceptable.

Please note, of course, that there's a huge difference between a protest and a riot.  Something many conservatives don't seem to understand.

Unless they are the ones protesting against national health care.  Then they won't stop yammering about their fucking rights to be shitheads.

The hard right thinks this is a common thing. Because if it wasn't they would need 33 handguns.  And they NEED 33 handguns.

Neo, would make a great Nazi, wiling to vilify anyone even before they have broken the law. Frank Burns from MASH, willing to lump refugees as always supporting North Korea, even if they don't.

Listen UP NEO, you don't get to equate the few to the many, ESPECIALLY with America's horrible history of right wing bigotry. Liberals are not the ones who try to control women's bodies. We DONT support the KKK, we don't hate LGBT nor do we make religious excuses to be DICKS to minorities.

Those riots were NOT the majority NEO. FYI there are far more riots after bullshit like Hockey games and college football games.

I am sorry it bothers you NEO to see that liberal theists and atheists are good people, but again, that is your baggage, not ours. NOBODY wants riots and they DONT represent the majority of liberals.

Oh and NEO, only wimps need guns when they aren't cops or in the military. Is that what you are implying, that when you cant win an argument and someone offends you you need a weapon to prove your toughness? Congrats NEO you sound just like ISIS.

Ardent gunners use "Good Guy With A Gun (GGWAG)" to rationalize carrying firearms where it's wildly inappropriate. Nobody needs a gun in Starbucks.

Not stepping into this debate but specifically about this meme...is it really saying that republicans need guns to protect themselves from liberals?

[emoji38]

I'd be interested in knowing how many republicans have been in a situation during any 'liberal' protest, riot etc where owning a gun was essential...particularly vs accidental gun deaths in the home.

Incidentally, is there some sort of attendance list for these riots....just wondering how the political affiliation of those involved is determined?

Edited to add: Also since the riot pic in the meme is actually a pic of a riot in Greece, not sure why this would necessitate gun ownership in the US....

I can respect your liberal sentiments. Reasonable people can disagree. I'm obviously quite conservative (more of a libertarian) but I don't own a gun. I don't even like guns and I believe far too many people that have no business owning guns do. Gun ownership often times has more to do with macho posing than politics, IMHO. At the same time, masked groups of gun-rights advocates do not go on downtown shooting sprees. The sad truth, to me, is that left-wing rioters have too many prominent and vocal apologists in the media and mostly tacit approval of academia. I don't think riots ever broke out at any Tea Party rallies; although I could be wrong.

Could you name some vocal apologists in the media?  Most I've ever seen are supporting their right to protest (free speech), while condemning violence.
