You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

now is time to show that you know something about science.

Here are three of the very basic questions.

1) In the existence of this universe of ours in which order the fundamental factors came.
The matter, the water, the light-energy, the air or the space?
(Did the matter came first or last and what about the other factors?)

2) And why one factor came first and the next follow?

3) What is the best way to understand how the above universal factors are positioned or arranged?

Remember that I did not say anything about a creator so let us concentrate on science alone.

I think I said science is the pancreas to diabetic problems.....

I might be wrong but aren't "The matter, the water, the light-energy, the air or the space" all matter/energy? Feel free to chime in you other science pancreas guys.

That seems like a pretty fucked up question. I wonder why I expected more.

Quote:In Sanskrit language, meaning of word "element" is defined as "quality of cosmic energy". Therefore according to five element theory, Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space are nothing but the names of five qualities of cosmic energy. When the cosmic energy tend to take form, it has to undergo sequential phases. At a particular phase the cosmic energy have some specific qualities with a specific form which is known as an Element.

Quora: Why do most of the religions including Hinduism consider that the whole universe is made up of 5 elements?

This thread is hilarious, though. Particularly Neo pointing and laughing at Riks silly beliefs.  The irony is delicious. I need popcorn to watch the outcome. What indeed was Rik driving at with his dated question about elements? I hope he will.....enlighten us. Pun intended.

It is a pity Aro that you didn't enlighten yourself.
It is so so simple yet most people don't get it and you are one of them.
Space is a reality.
Where would you put something unless you got a space to put it?
Once you got a space all other elements can be accommodated so once you got a space you need air,
energy-light, water and matter in this sequential order.

The enlighten come by looking at your body.
In your throat you have space and in this space you can produce a sound.
You can talk, sing or scream.
The universe has a sound too.
If you concentrate in a quite place you can hear a sound.
The more you are able to concentrate and the more you can hear this sound.
Most people don't even bother about that as if it wouldn't even exist only to find out that without
that sound they would go totally insane.

They also would die if there wouldn't be air, light, water and the solid factor and guess what Aro?
These elements that exist in the universe also exist in your body that is why I said that if you would enlighten yourself and look at your body you would understand that what is in you is in the universe
as well and the sequential order that follow in your body is also followed in the universe.

This Aro is a scientific process.
If however many religions a many philosophical thoughts think the same so much better.
That means that the more people agree the more is likely to be true.

If however atheists would go a bit further and see that above the throat there is a brain with a mind then
they most probably wouldn't be atheists at all but this is a point that I don't really wish to discuss
in this thread.

Well that was just about as vague, meaningless, and new-agey as I imagined it'd be.

How do you know that I base my knowledge on faith?
I follow yoga not religions and yoga is based on intuitional science which is even better than physical science.  Lightbulb

Intuition is faith in your own thoughts. If your intuition tells you the moon is 500 miles from earth, and someone else's intuition is that it is 1000 miles from earth, one or both of you is wrong. How can we go about figuring out what the correct answer is?

As you note, faith won't do it so... Here is how you check your own thoughts.

You don't get it Crunchy.
There is nothing wrong with the scientific method that you just show.
Intuition however is a total different thing.
Take Einstein and his theory of relativity.
He try and try to work out how to get it until one day it pop up in his mind.
Where you think it pop up from?
It pop up from his subconscious mind.
Nobody told him.
I already explained at nauseam about this topic and about the conscious mind and the subconscious mind
or what you are aware so far and what is hidden in the subconscious mind.

Intuitional science is all about to allow what is hidden in the subconscious mind to emerge in the conscious mind.  Lightbulb

Bolded mine.  You have a more fundamentally flawed understanding of science than I previously thought.  If you think Einstein's theories didn't involve enormous amounts of testing, refining, and tweaking based on findings...then I really don't know what to tell you.  Nothing about Einstein's work was a sudden, instant revelation or singular spontaneous eruption of ideas.  It required a lot of work..following methods like the one Crunchy depicted.
