Orthodontics is rarely portrayed as the painful, inconvenient, expensive, and also being fodder for high school razzing that it is.

I believe God wants to be involved in each of your lives, no matter how strongly you feel he is not there, I don't feel strongly anything in regard to the apparition you call god. Depending on what this 'god' you speak of may be perhaps it does exist. But most descriptions I've heard have been pretty looney tunes. Ah, the compelling argument from dental work. Is that one of St. Augustine's?

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I can't see their faces because they are dead, but I can see the faces of politicians quite well. Quote:I would be delighted (and not more than a little surprised) to see you produce '...a good authentic, scientific, logical claim;' to beat Satan. Before you start, though, I recommend you look up what those words mean. "Enough" depends on the person; what is clear and enough for me might not be clear and enough for you. Heck; the universe gives the best evidence to me. I just can't imagine planets creating synchronized orbits and cases with exceptions -assuming supernovas and black holes as the exceptions-. The exceptions are just so little; to the degree of them being considered to be "special cases" and not a norm. At least during the short instance that we spend alive on the face of earth. That's a system. I can't ignore what Einstein or Newton had said about the system. And so; I don't believe systems come out of the blue. Argument from design seems convenient for me; but the convenience does differ from a person to another; depending on the knowledge with the law. Quote:This is what is known as 'self-delusion.' Innit funny how when people 'call for God', God always ends up instructing them to do what they were going to do all along? That's a problem with people; in many times they ask for the wrong things, not just from God but from other people as well. You can't ask a cat to lay eggs, while my example is considered "common sense", it's considered "logic" when dealing with God. I blame the Church, the Islamic clerics, and the sinners. The Gentleman Bastard Quote:You faithers sure do believe some goofy shit! Actually, yes.
Christian testimonials are soooooo boring! Every once in a while there is one sinner who says something amazing like "I was once a mortician who stole bodies from the funeral home and had tea parties with them in my underground meadery where Odin appeared to me every Wednesday. One day a coworker asked me if I knew Jesus and .....blah, blah, blah!....". That is when I am like.." Wait, wait .. Let's get back to the tea parties! That is fascinating..."
Usually the testimonials are mundane life occurrences such as "I used to a Catholic (Pothead, Gambler, Shopkeep who put his thumb on the scale, etc, etc). Not very impressive and nothing that requires the supernatural to overcome. I was once a Catholic myself. To the OP: Having overcome buckteeth with orthodontics and high school teasing is way down on the "Wow!" scale.
