Orthodontics is rarely portrayed as the painful, inconvenient, expensive, and also being fodder for high school razzing that it is.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I don't feel strongly anything in regard to the apparition you call god. Depending on what this 'god' you speak of may be perhaps it does exist. But most descriptions I've heard have been pretty looney tunes.

You're asking me to partake in a charade with you. No thank you.

How in the hell should I know what would please your secret friend. More to the point, why should I care?

Ah, the compelling argument from dental work. Is that one of St. Augustine's?
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

When I went to high school I had buck teeth, and every one called me rabbit. Fortunately I had dental work done that fixed my teeth. But it was rather hurtful to have people pick out our faults. To me the devil is out to destroy lives, to constantly cause harm, whether it be through trying to pick our faults, and press them. Or to just ravage lives.

I believe that God wants to heal lives, to bring rest peace and joy to people. I am also a person who believes that God will reach into any situation, to find the good in us. As a human I often look at the negatives, but God at the positives. The reason why each of us has breath is due to the fact that God still sees some good in us all.

So why the soppy story? Well I want to offer some thing. I believe God wants to be involved in each of your lives, no matter how strongly you feel he is not there, wrong, ignorant of you etc.

I have made some claims in some other posts that God has answered prayers that have been prayed. I want to reach out to you in some form of blessing. To pray that God would show his great love for you.

You have got to be fucking kidding me. Do you have any idea just how many times the average atheist hears this bullshit? How many time we have to respectfully decline to listen to yet one more crock-o-shit fairy tale? If all you're going to do here, hopey, is preach, kindly go pound some sand.

No, you fucking don't. If you had evidence you could show it to us. Demonstrate it. What you have is a lot of confirmation bias and wish fulfillment.

Not sure I want some psychotic, mass-murdering bastard showing himself to me. Then I'd have to call the authorities, fill out paperwork, probably appear in court if the sick fuck doesn't cop a plea... Yeah, no thanks.

Argumentum ad orthodontia. The latest convincing argument from the jawbone of an ass.

"You can't handle the tooth!"

I'll stop now.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

From Paul's Epistle to the Dentarians:

'And the Lord shall come among ye, and Lo! He shall heal thy busted grill, for His is the power and the glory and the orthodontic appliances for ever and ever, amen.'

Heck; the universe gives the best evidence to me. I just can't imagine planets creating synchronized orbits and cases with exceptions -assuming supernovas and black holes as the exceptions-. The exceptions are just so little; to the degree of them being considered to be "special cases" and not a norm.

RE: Bugs Bunny
Christian testimonials are soooooo boring! Every once in a while there is one sinner who says something amazing like "I was once a mortician who stole bodies from the funeral home and had tea parties with them in my underground meadery where Odin appeared to me every Wednesday. One day a coworker asked me if I knew Jesus and .....blah, blah, blah!....".  That is when I am like.." Wait, wait .. Let's get back to the tea parties! That is fascinating..."

Usually the testimonials are mundane life occurrences such as "I used to a Catholic (Pothead, Gambler, Shopkeep who put his thumb on the scale, etc, etc). Not very impressive and nothing that requires the supernatural to overcome.  I was once a Catholic myself. To the OP:  Having overcome buckteeth with orthodontics and high school teasing is way down on the "Wow!" scale.
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!
