Well he lives with his mom now. I'm not as young as I used to be. I can't handle 5 kids living with me anymore.

I use a similar type of statement when the cops start asking questions about people who have disappeared from my life...
"He went to live with his mother/moved overseas/left town/isn't buried in the basement."
