Scenes from Old Albemarle.

My friend Mark Bryan was nice enough to drive me around or walk with me for about 5 hours this morning, starting at 7am, so I could take pictures and we could explore "old shit". This is some stuff that came out of it. First you should know that it was like walking through a sauna - the air was so saturated that I was wiping my lens off constantly, and the city had an underlying tinge of sweaty footlocker odor. Second, for myself, I realized that I am entirely comfortable taking pictures of nature, but anything human or human-made...not so much.

I got bound up in duct tape yesterday. This was fun for multiple reasons:

1) I was doing it to make a "mold" of my body as a dress-form so I can sew my own clothes more accurately.
2) I like being tied up (or taped up, as the case was)
3) Cynthia's husband sat on the couch watching and had his mind blown while we discussed mythology and BDSM
4) I drank Monk's Sour Ale, which is delicious.
5) Later we all piled onto the couch with Asian food and watched the extras from The Two Towers

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
