I like color splash a lot.

I love the first one. It's perfect. I might not have noticed the little green bugs on the leaves of the third one. I really loved that.

I agree with Shell about the flamingos. It would've been more dramatic with just that one flamingo in the center in color. I loved the pic of you with the color splash, but I'd like to see it with your lips ablaze with red too. I might not like it any more than the way it is now, but I'm curious to see what it would do.

I think you should try and play around with your compositions.

I do, Annik - that's a small sampling of some stuff because they were the easiest to try it on. And I have one more week of class, and then I'm free to fart around with photography a lot more. Fortunately there's several photographers in the local atheist group.

These are the things I've thought have come out best, although my street stuff is severely lacking.

I've been working a piece at a time because I have a point and shoot, which allows for far less control over shooting elements and it's been a bitch and a half figuring out what the numbers are for the pre-set options. I don't think I'm going to be able to do some of the wilder things I want until I get a real dslr and a couple of lenses.

As promised to a couple of you, I had Annik take a few pictures of me in my SCA combat armor. Yes, I look like a mega-nerd. No, I have no regrets. Cool

The armor is in the process of being repaired/upgraded, and as such there are no buckles on the coat of plates as there should be. Instead, I used a weight belt to hold it in place. Similarly, the pauldrons (shoulder protection) aren't strapped down because I've yet to finish their buckles.
