Nah, I was only 16 and L. was just the starting point of our backpacking bicycle tour north and over and around Connemara - Kinvara, Spiddal, Lisdoonvarna, the cliffs of M., Galway. We spent every evening drinking Stout in obscure pubs&challenging the locals in Darts.

Geography lesson, Connemara is west of Galway city in Cos Galway & Mayo. The Clare bits (Lisdoonvarna, Moher &c) are in the Burren, one of the world's best examples of a Karst region.

Us Irish are not good at darts by and large.
