In the ongoing saga of Learning to Ride a Bike:

I managed to make it up a steep hill that's been forcing me to hop off and walk. I still can't stand on the pedals and huff it up a hill, but I did learn how to zig zag my way up, and how to gear properly while doing it. So I got to the top still on the bike. Twice.

My friend who taught me to ride keeps telling me to quit being so hard on myself, because everyone else has thousands of hours on their bikes by now, and I only have 10s, but fuck it. Teddy Roosevelt didn't beat asthma by slowing down. Neither will I.
