Today was a good day.

I haven't had many of those lately, but today was one. I didn't do a single thing I didn't feel like doing.

And I started my yearly rereading of Lord of the Rings (yes, yearly). And for the second time since I adopted him, Kíli has insisted on being right with me when I do.

It's his favorite, naturally.

I read LOTR...a looooong time ago, like 2007 or so. These days I rarely have the time or concentration for books, regretfully. I do watch the movies almost every year though. Helps me hone my Gandalf impersonation Big Grin

I wish they would redo the audiobooks. Preferably with Ian Holm reading. Him doing the opening passage of the Hobbit in the beginning of the first movie was just fucking ace. I feel sure more people would listen if they got as much if the cast as they could to play along.
