Ever had a fun experience ruined by someone else?
June 2, 2017 at 11:00 pm
Just wondered if you guys had any interesting stories from anytime in your lives. A time when you were having fun, but that fun was spoiled by someone else?
I have one. I was 9 years old, we were back east visiting Virginia. We went to go see Williamsburg which is a very historic colonial town. There was a station where a guy was showing kids military tactics from the time. He had a real gun, and we just used these really long sticks that would we would pretend were guns with bayonets on them. It was really fun!!! That is until this jackass kid about my same age kept accidentally hitting me in the head with his stick. I know, I know, it was a long time ago. But I still ponder about that little event that happened. He probably had no idea what he was doing. But still, my head really hurt the rest of the day. He accidentally hit me about 4-5 times. lol

I don't even believe in the concept of a ruined experience.
If a past experience was good... nothing can change that. You can have your own memory of it ruined... but if it was good when it was good it was good when it was good.

I went to San Diego recently and someone who doesn't like to see me being happy tracked me down, made sure I knew it, and shortened my weekend by a day. Fear can trump fun, definitely.
Also... Mondays always ruin the fun.

Someone who really annoys me is a friend of my friends. I can't ever do anything with my friends without him showing up and throwing off my groove. The worst part is that he also considers me a friend and I can't find it in myself to correct him. I know it would hurt him if I did so and I'm not quite that mean. I guess I'll just have to put up with countless more ruined experiences.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

Had a friend/customer take me out for a meal instead of paying cash money for a smaller electrical job at his house. I really enjoy his company and was looking forward to it, but when the day rolled around, he literally inhaled his meal in what seemed like seconds, excused himself, and left me to finish my meal alone.
Later on he seemed a little put out when I wouldn't make time to stop by and see his new motorcycle.
He was also the one with the custom built house with a trailer house floorplan: main floor rooms were a master bedroom, living room, and kitchen, all in a row. I realize it was bigger and nicer than a trailer house, but 3 rooms in a straight line is a trailer house floor plan. LOL, what people spend big money on.
