The First Century Void

RE: The First Century Void
Yeah if Josephus considered Jesus so wonderful then why dedicate only few lines to him when whole pages are devoted to petty robbers and obscure seditious leaders? Nearly forty chapters are devoted to a single king.

And what is this

Can you switch off your delusion, take of your beer goggles for moment because did I not show you dialogues with Clesus who obviously thought Jesus was a myth? There where people that considered Jesus as a myth from the very beginnings, since Paul started preaching and he was very well aware that Jesus story is stupid and you can figure out it's just a myth by only thinking for he said that people should not think and actually be stupid and then they can believe Jesus really existed 1 Corinthians 3:18-19, "Let no one deceive himself. If any one among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is folly with God."

Corinthians 4:10 "We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ";

1 Corinthians 1:19-21 "It is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the cleverness of the clever I will thwart. Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom";
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Except, ofc, that they -were- calling jesusism a myth, and denouncing the entire field of their faith as a categorical forgery.

Hmn, how was it that Pliny summarized christers and jesusism?  Ah yes, harmless practices, in accord with depraved, excessive superstition. It wasn;t even a religion, as far as he could tell..and, given the timeframe..it probably -wasn't- recognizable as a religion then. Just a bunch of disparate simpletons that a governor saw no reason to kill for their simplicity alone.

I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. And of course your right Kam the whole being killed thing I imagine would discourage  most from questioning Jesus historicity . And it honestly does not matter when mysticism started. What matters is if it's true.

I know, but I like to point out that our resident apologists never seem to manage to get a single thing right, even the inconsequential shit to the matter at hand.

Hell, you'd think they;d have gotten something right on accident, by now................it's almost as if getting this shit entirely wrong is an article of their faith or something.

1st Century Void sounds like the title of a bad episode of Battlestar Galactica . . .
